Furniture Installer & Driver
Create beautiful spaces. Work in exceptional homes.
Join a team that values design and craftsmanship.
Red Door Design + Staging is growing, and we're looking for a thoughtful, hardworking Furniture Installer and Driver to join our close-knit team — someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys the craft.
This is not a traditional moving position.
Our installers play an essential role in transforming homes through staging — creating spaces that feel elevated, intentional, and market-ready. You'll work alongside our installation and styling team to transport and install furniture, execute layouts, complete finishing details, and maintain the quality of our inventory.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in presentation, craftsmanship, and design. We work hard, hold ourselves to a high standard, and have a genuinely great time doing it.
What You'll Do
Load, transport, and unload furniture, artwork, rugs, and accessories with exceptional care
Install and style staged homes alongside our staging and design team
Arrange furniture and décor according to design plans and styling direction
Handle high-value inventory professionally and safely
Complete light furniture repairs, touch-ups, and frame restoration to keep inventory client-ready
Support warehouse organization and preparation for upcoming installations
Represent Red Door professionally in clients' homes and on job sites
Who You Are
Strong, dependable, and comfortable with physically demanding work (must be able to lift 75+ lbs throughout an 8–10 hour workday)
Detail-oriented — you notice the small things that make a space feel finished
Drawn to interiors, design, furniture, architecture, or visual presentation
Comfortable with basic tools and hands-on repair work
Professional and respectful in high-end residential environments
A team player who brings positive energy and genuine pride to their work
Comfortable driving a 26' box truck in Boston and surrounding areas
Experience in moving, furniture installation, staging, finish carpentry, visual merchandising, or events is a plus
What Makes This Role Different
Be part of the creative process — not just the delivery
Work in beautiful homes throughout Greater Boston
Learn staging, installation, and inventory craftsmanship
Join a team that values quality, aesthetics, and execution
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience, with growth potential. Benefits include trade discounts, IRA matching, paid vacation and holidays, and weekly team breakfast
