Your reputation is tied to every listing. So is ours.

Custom Home Staging

We've been staging Greater Boston homes since 2007 — and the numbers speak for themselves. Over $1.15 billion in real estate staged, a 10,000 sq ft warehouse stocked with more than 65 houses of curated furniture, and a reputation built listing by listing with the region's top realtors.

We're known for great style and expert advice — but also for keeping it low-key and low-pressure. Selling a home is stressful enough. We look out for opportunities to make the process a little easier, and yes — a little more fun.

“I am so grateful to Thom for recommending Red Door Design + Staging. Your staging was strikingly beautiful and made a significant impact on the overall sale of the condo. Thank you!” - Nancy B., Boston

Custom Staging

Our Custom line is hand-curated for each property. Furniture, artwork, and accessories are selected to suit both the home and its target buyer — higher-end pieces, larger rugs and artwork, and the flexibility to accommodate requests from realtors or clients.

Every Custom staging includes a one-hour complimentary design consultation covering paint colors, light fixtures, and more. We think the best staging starts before the furniture arrives — and that one conversation can change everything about how a property photographs and shows.

Custom staging is available for unoccupied homes with rooms cleared of personal belongings. Not sure if that's you? Our one-hour Staging Consultation is a great option for occupied homes — we'll walk through every room and give you a detailed, actionable plan.

How We Work

01 — Written Quote
You'll receive a detailed email quote outlining the room list, pricing, and payment terms — so everything is clear before we begin. We’ll get your quote out the same day you contact us.

02 — Property Visit
We schedule a walk-through prior to every Custom staging to assess the space and tailor our approach. This is where the real design thinking begins.

03 — Contracts & Invoicing
All contracts and invoices are sent electronically. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due prior to the staging date, with the balance due after installation.

04 — Installation Confirmation
One week before your scheduled staging, we’ll reach out to confirm your installation date and collect access information for the property.

05 — Installation Day
When the job is complete, we contact you directly to offer a walk-through before your photographer arrives. We want you to love it as much as we do!

06 — Renewal or Pickup
Seven days before your contract expires, we reach out to see if you'd like a renewal or a pickup. We pride ourselves on being boringly reliable.

Staging Contracts

  • Standard: 4-week initial term with 4-week renewals, or 8-week initial term with 4-week renewals

  • Extended: 12-week terms and longer are available

We’ve crafted our pricing so choosing a longer contract saves you money — the longer the initial contract, the lower your weekly price.

Staging Transfers
When a full staging moves from one property to another, we offer incentive pricing that reflects that continuity. Just let us know.
